About Us
Dr. Jeffrey Robins
Dr. Robins purchased Springfield Optometric Associates in September of 2016 and we became Robins Eyecare in 2020. Dr. Robins completed his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and received his Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University. After practicing in Nebraska for three years, he moved to Illinois where he owned offices in the southern and western suburbs of Chicago for sixteen years.
Dr. Robins is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Member of the AOA and the MSO. He lives with his wife Sonia and their two children, Ethan and Chloe in Wilbraham.
Our Team
Optometric Medical Assistants
Our Optometric Medical Assistants are trained extensively to ensure patients receive the highest quality of care before, during and after their exam. Jessie, Melyssa, Amber and Kayla provide pre-exam and specialty testing to assist Dr. Robins in managing patient care and treatment.
Optical Team
Our Optical lead Ray is trained to assist patients in picking out frames and lenses as well as adjusting and repairing glasses to ensure the perfect look and fit to optimize vision needs. Ray has over fifteen years of Optical experience and was with Springfield Optometric Associates for five years and with Robins Eyecare for four years.
Front Office
Robins Eyecare has a strong presence in Springfield. From it's early beginnings as Springfield Optometric Associates on Bridge Street, to its current location on Sumner Avenue, our patients are treated in a space that is modern, relaxing and comfortable. Our Front Office, prides itself in ensuring the patient experience with our office is enjoyable from the first call to make an appointment through check out. We can even help with questions about medical insurance and vision plan benefits.
